Fiber to the home & devices

FTTx

Fiber access continues to expand due to the demand for broadband and is undoubtedly one of the most important technologies of the next generation. CablesOne offer solutions to save time and money with Telecom FTTx integrated products without the problems of managing multiple vendors. We offer high quality reliable solutions that are flexible and meet your specific requirements.

Fiber to the x (FTTX) is a generic term for any broadband network architecture using optical fiber to provide all or part of the local loop used for last mile telecommunications. As fiber optic cables are able to transmit significantly more data than copper cables, especially over long distances, copper telephone networks built in the 20th Century are increasingly being replaced by fiber.

FTTX is a generalisation for several configurations of fiber deployment, arranged into two groups: FTTP/FTTH/FTTB, which is fiber, laid all the way to the premises/home/building and FTTC/N, which is fiber laid to the cabinet/node, with copper wires completing the connection.

Connecting to your home

Fibre-To-The-Home

CablesOne has extensive experience in splicing, premise wiring, and cutover services for broadband to the home. Our crews are experienced splicing & connecting to the head end, central office, trunk and feeder cable, splitters, distribution cable, fiber drops, and fiber pigtails at the premise.

The nature of FTTH / FTTP projects require multiple splicing, connecting and cutover crews along with adequate equipment to complete projects to your satisfaction in a specified time frame. CablesOne has the capability to offer equipment and multiple crews to help complete your project.

Fibre-To-The-Devices

CablesOne offers a full range of utility services for Outside Plant Fiber to the CCTV which involves the infrastructure design and planning, cable design, implementation, supply and install cable path, camera pole, IP67 Cabinet and IP67 active equipment.

Outside Plant CCTV, frequently faces problems with centralized electrical power and fiber optic cable management. Hence, CablesOne custom designs the specifications and requirements of composite cable (Hybrid), which combines fiber optic cable and electrical power cables into one cable. To provide a comprehensive solution, CablesOne also custom designs the Hybrid panel.

CablesOne has successfully implemented multiple utilities and Fiber to the CCTV projects for the prison service, military and government agencies for a number of years including redundant fiber optic networks for military bases and hospital as well as multiple fiber projects nationwide.

Fibre-To-The-Cabinet

CablesOne provide the full solutions of Fiber to the Cabinet (FTTC) which included Outside Plant, Ducting Infrastructure, Manhole and Cover, Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), Multi-Core Fiber Optic Backbone, Outdoor Cross Connect Cabinet, Fusion Splicing and OTDR Report. It’s a new sort of Broadband internet connection which, instead of using your existing copper phone line all the way from the telephone exchange to your house or office, uses a fiber-optic connection from the exchange to the “street cabinet” nearest to you. From there to your office it still uses the exiting copper wire.  By reducing the amount of copper wire used in the connection the network is able to provide much higher connection speeds in both directions, and the loss of speed and reliability introduced by the copper line and connections in it are reduced.

Where traditional ADSL broadband offers speeds up to 8mb/sec or up to 24mb/sec on the newer exchanges, FTTC offers speeds of up to 40mb/sec, and upload speds of up to 2mb/sec or 10mb/sec depending on service level.

Campus Network

A campus network is a proprietary local area network(LAN) or set of interconnected LANs serving a corporation, government agency, university, or similar organization. In this context, a typical campus encompasses a set of buildings in close proximity.

Fibre Optic Backbone of building inter-connection, CablesOne provide comprehensive solutions of Fibre-To-The-Building. CablesOne has the capability to offer network active equipment such as Media converter and Network Core-Switch for building inter-connection.
